Mind, body and soul in balance

Balance.

How can you achieve balance when the world seems to have tilted in a strange way. What was once normal is now deemed as dangerous. Social distancing, mask wearing, sanitising, curfews, restricted travel all new but now very common terms as the world tries to deal with the appearance of this virus.

Working from home is the new office, and if you are fortunate enough to be able to have a home office, how do you maintain your balance?

I believe that we don't pay enough attention to our feelings. We haven't been taught how to manage this magnificent human range of emotions. With restrictions of living, come the new rules of engagement. The balance can be fragile if you are sharing a space 24/7.

Carving out some time for you to be you, separate from all the different roles you play, can help you clear your feelings and you will respect yourself more.

Journal, play games, read a few pages of a book, listen to music, dance, exercise, take a walk, play with your pets, be silent, call a friend, draw, clean, sing, meditate, binge some series.. all simple measures that if done with a conscious intention of finding some time out, may help you find your balance.

When you feel better, you will act better, and when you act better you will live better.
