Zipper day!

Friday 10th November 2023

I've written about my yellow ski jacket on this blog before but I have to give an update on the goretex lifetime guarantee. Today I picked it up for it's next 35 year chapter as a full-zipped version. I had to pull it over my head before with it's half-zip 1980s design. This was fine before the onset of hot flashes, and worrying about my hairstyle (one of those reasons is a fib) lol.

I was grinning from ear to ear when I collected it from the tailor today and I was surprised by my happiness at seeing it. They've done a great job so we stopped by at a coffee shop to celebrate. This time, we were able to get a table and I'm thrilled at the support small, independent businesses are getting.

The weather was great so my sister suggested a walk along the Seaton Carew promenade and I could 'test' out my jacket. I was surprised by the absence of wind and it was a lovely wander as long as we stuck to the sunny side of the street. After a few other errands we got back to the cosy house for a cuppa with my other sister.

I love having a big family.
