A great day of constructive packing, organizing, petroling, carwashing, goodbyeing and girl group catchuping.

A surreal feeling that this time tomorrow, I will be in a guest house, and on my merry way after a few short months of planning.

I used my first ever pensioner discount on the carwash because it's Tuesday. I didn't feel guilty because I only have half a car which the team finished shining and hoovering before I had finished my coffee.

The domestic beasts were quite perturbed by my emptying my cupboard and close inspections were required.

I was quite chuffed by managing to keep it streamlined and reminding myself that I only have a tiny car. But the bulk of it is done. Tomorrow, is only adding my overnight bag for the next 3 nights at different locations.

And the fun part was celebrating my running wife's exam results and my leaving by dining in with the ladies. Not having had Comrades marathon nor any other away races, we've missed out on long catch ups and lots of laughs.
