World crisis averted

The scene was set for an early morning run, then a possible trip on the Outeniqua Power Van train. Then my friend realised that we had to book. I wasn’t sure it was still running. We messaged them, they replied 4 hours later saying it was full. So I had no run, and no train.

Instead we ended up admiring the view, under blankets until it got too warm. I woke with a very strange pain in my shoulder blade. It felt like I was nauseous but all along my shoulders. It felt yucky. I took some charcoal and a bit later I ended up taking an anti inflammatory tablet. Both seemed to do the trick.

The sun came out quite strongly later and we enjoyed watching the changing view of the lagoon mouth. It's like watching a zen-like TV program that doesn't require changing the channel for any adverts. The only interruption was a pause for tea and a return of the blankets.

Sometimes the world's problems can be sorted with a great natter, perfect view and a cuppa.
