I was thinking about how living this way has changed me. The biggest difference is probably my lack of anxiety and I've written about this before but I thought it might be useful to do a travelling 'stock take'.
I'm a collector by nature and trying to keep items to a minimum has been a challenge. I've tried to keep to a 3 t-shirt, 1 jeans, 2 leggings story with my running gear added. But I find if I 'nest' too long I tend to start buying more than I need. Buying new t-shirts means that I need to let go of the old but I came up with a plan to leave a 'core' at my two nesting spots to save my carrying it all in my bags.
The next thing I've accumulated is vitamins and a small stash of a mini Dischem branch. Vitamins are heavy. Have I used any of my emergency pills, lotions and potions yet? That should be remembered when I next stock up at the health shop.
I don't need new gadgets or cables. I might need to write this in bold. I was even looking at wigs today for my upcoming online tour. Fortunately my reasoning brain told me to stop.
Jackets are a passion. There's hundreds of new winter ones in the shops here in the UK. Do I need them? Nope. So I manage to resist that urge too.
Camping gadgets are cool and plentiful here too. A leftover from my 2016 Camino shopping days still has me looking at foldable cutlery and emergency blankets. Have I ever mentioned that I'm not a happy camper? Haha.
The ease of online shopping and delivery makes life tempting. I have to remember when I'm next on the move (Monday) and to where. So I also just leave many online shopping carts full of wishful but unnecessary items, fortunately.
Booking trains, hotels and airfares have become really easy for me. I always read reviews and I give them too. The internet is amazing and I truly appreciate having this magic machine to make my life so much easier plus it keeps me connected to my tribe.
I'm still amazed that I'm not missing my own bed/bathroom/pillow/car and that I'm feeling very comfortable roaming around the UK in my coddiwomple way.
