Tuesday May the third.. 2022
Sometimes I am so busy in the moment that I forget where I woke up this morning. The habit of automation and familiarity, gives our busy brains the space to assimilate new information. Habit behaviour -less need for energy to focus on 'where was I this morning?'
I'm saying this to remind myself that it's okay not to remember where I was. And a reminder that my photo gallery is important in keeping my daily movements tracked - lol.
This morning I was on an airfield, watching the night lights dim, as the sun crossed the horison. I then had a short drive to my friend who I hadn't seen since high school and drove her to a hospital to get some radiation treatment. It was reminiscent of my driving my sister to her treatments across Glasgow city, except our South African roads are wider, the hospital quieter and the accents less Scottish.
I'm booked in a fabulous bnb nearer my friend and I have a washing machine!! Huddling under a blanket, it felt significantly cooler in the Southern suburb of Alberton, while I had my online tour-guide lesson. So you see why I was confused as to my whereabouts? Location, location and location. I'm here until Friday which is useful in giving me a temporary habit of understanding my presence on the planet, haha.
