Weathering the storm

Returning to a city that I have lived in for thirty years, means the immediate adaptation of body habits. Or so I thought.

I keep being surprised by the heat. I think my body is surprised too because I was feeling a little dizzy and out of sorts so I napped for a half hour.

My furry niece enjoys having daily company but even she was too hot to nag to play ball. Instead she lay in the small courtyard in the sun!

I took my second dip in my sister's pool. It got even hotter after my nap and the pool was just right. However I think that the weather gods don't like seeing my Scottish white thighs because another storm appeared, just like the afternoon of my first swim.

I think the adrenaline of last week's drive and exciting stayovers might have caught up with me, and I find myself in bed now, a little after 8pm. I obviously need to rest, so here I go.
