Valentine's Runs and headaches

I woke up early laughing. Another crazy dream but it did get me up early for my planned run in Wilderness with my friend. I was a little apprehensive because I hadn't run for over a week and I am not 'talking' fit. I also realised that there are big hills which my friend loves to explore,.

She asked if I want the sea or lake route and I chose lake. Imagine having that kind of choice every day, mmm. We set off slowly and chatty and I appreciated the different houses on foot. I love seeing the different styles; from the older original homes to the new unusual designs on steep slopes. We saw a few dog walkers and some early paragliders. What a way to live your hobby before work.

The last uphill was a nasty climb, fortunately not too long. At one stage I felt like I was leopard crawling along. I'm a long way from fit but it was fun chatting and running and the 6km flew by.

Around lunchtime I suddenly started feeling very strange, almost migrainey. I haven't had one in decades so I wasn't sure if it was just the bright sunlight or an impending headache but decided to rush back to my apartment while I still could. I managed to snooze for a good couple of hours and am pleased to report only slight squeaks remain.

Tomorrow I need to start packing to leave my beautiful view on Wednesday. I'm going to miss it.
