Unplanned

I love buildings. One of my reasons for coming to Durban to start my World Tour was for the interesting buildings.

This morning was dull and wet so I wasn't sure of my plans. But another reason to be here was to run at the beach, so damp weather wasn't a good enough reason to not go. Plus seeing a place in its different weather states gives me a fuller perspective.

I needed to stop at the supermarket and on my way home I noticed the mosque again on looking left at one intersection. So I decided to drive past and see if it was open to the public. Although I was certainly not dressed appropriately and I must have taken the emergency scarf out of my boot, I still had a full running cap. The people were very open to my taking pictures and the Imam offered me to visit the museum after I had taken my shoes off. There was a majestic cat on duty too and I loved reading about the Soofie Saheb shrine but will need more research to give it the justice it deserves. But I was feeling rather conspicuous about my running gear so didn't stay too long.
