Two tour day

I started the day trying to figure out where I was on waking, when I caught a glimpse of the river and remembered. I moved slowly out of bed to test the back and my joints (haha). I wasn't in a rush to get out of my chalet but I had planned on visiting the old convent school, so got packed up fairly quickly.

On my way through the town I spotted some stone buildings and after pulling off awkwardly for the first one, I noticed there was a bigger and better one half a block away. I turned in excitedly and got permission to take some photos from the office. It was the NG church that had been completed in 1912. I edited a little video that you might want to watch here.

I stayed in my blue wig thinking I would be filming at the convent/school and set off across town. Unfortunately I must have pressed the wrong address and I ended up not finding it, but stopped at the City Hall instead. This building needs a lot more maintenance than the church but still interesting seeing the glazed tiles in the reception hall.

I took a comfortable drive to my hotel for the night in Bloemfontein. It's not as nice as last night's digs and definitely more noisy but I'm sure I will manage a good night's sleep.
