The sun sneaked behind the block out curtains early and I knew it was going to be a bright morning. Angie took a while to wake so I showered and packed and made the kettle boil as loud as I could to rouse her. I always feel cruel waking people up now, I say now, because I remember taking great delight in waking my kid sister to get up for school.
But not long afterwards we were ready to get the car tyre seen to, and fill up with petrol. Neither of us could open the petrol cap. I was standing with the manual and hand written instructions but it refused to open. A kind gentleman came over to help but Angie's new car is not a regular car so he couldn't help. The car dealership was called and fortunately he drove over and disobeyed the instructions and out popped the cap. Many litres later we were on the motorway. It's strange seeing everyone obeying the rules of the road. The trucks are in abundance and everyone seems to keep left. There are many more potholes on the motorways but nobody seems to dodge them like I had to do, in South Africa. They are busy fixing up many parts of the road which is great.
After a quick stop to see Angie's aunt and cousin we continued northwards and turned into our bnb in Sheffield. We munched on a quick microwave supper and now I'm ready to sleep and I didn't even do any driving.
