Traveling by screen

Friday 22nd April 2022 Today I spent virtually traveling.  In preparation for my tour, I realised that I need a crash course in South African history. Johannesburg's history is fascinating although it is still a fairly young city.  Although my memory still resists dates as a spill off from my boring history teacher in high school. A gold rush city far from any port made for some fascinating sub plots of railway line creation but that train (see what I did there?) of thought was distracting me from my project. I was quite pleased that I stayed on course and did quite a bit of preparation although I still have a lot more to do. My loadshedding was at reasonable times so I was fully charged to carry me over the two hour power gap. Now I'm watching some TV shows to calm my brain down, so tomorrow I can feel refreshed.  Traveling back to the 50's in the Bletchley Circle story of breaking codes is making me appreciate the time period I live in. Women couldn't do much then on their own without a man, never mind do a solo World Tour of South Africa, lol.
