Tour eve

Tuesday 26th April 2022

The planets are aligning in the Southern skies although I haven't been awake early enough to see it for myself. I'd seen a post online yesterday about the alignment and this morning, my sister sent me the dawn sky photo. I was thankful to wake up to a good sunny morning although it certainly felt a bit nippier all day.

I had planned to finish off all my research and notes for my tour but ended up working on the phone for a long part of the day. In between calls I sat in the sun and played with Molly who had misplaced her ball but kept whining at the 2 ball-throwing sticks. I got round to doing my cue cards on my notes but I was alarmed because it felt like I had forgotten everything. After I finished, I packed up my notes and hurried Molly into her lead for a walk around the streets. A brisk walk is good for the mood and I felt comfortable later during my online guiding lesson.

I think my 400+ skits have been good practice at finding my voice and being aware of an audience so in a way, I'm looking forward to steering this tour on my own. All the tours I have been on before I was a co-host so it will be interesting to see how I do. I will of course, let you know, lol
