Tuesday 31st May 2022 Two weeks of being in the UK. Although I did step down to Hades a few times, but I'm hoping my Oyster card will take me there ever again. My bugger of a tooth is out! I'd taken my time getting ready this morning, even doing exercises as well as tapping to try and widen my bite. I didn't want to be turned away from my extraction because I couldn't open my jaws enough. The exercises seemed to loosen something and the sun came out with enough time to take Molly literally up the road for a quick walk. Mark came back from the office and kindly dropped me near Westgate Towers at the bottom of the High Street to walk up to the dentist.
It's Jubilee week in England with celebrations of Queen Elizabeth reigning for 70 years. It means that there's a very festive feel in the city. Bunting, flags and Anna's one neighbour has a beautiful window display out to celebrate. It reminded me a bit of Pamplona with their San Férmin celebrations. I think people should have more festivals. It makes people smile and be happy and we could do with more of that. Like I was, albeit lopsidedly, after the tooth was in a cotton swab in my handbag, even in the middle of a sudden downpour.
Smiling myself to sleep while dodging the stitches. Now I'm waiting for the tooth fairy, my whole budget went on dentists!
