Time on paws

Monday 11th December 2023

Today was animals and sisters day. They could be the same thing? Oops, sorry sis! But I love having lots of both.

The morning was a lot cooler than my previous mornings and I had to resort to wearing my padded jacket while the early dogs did their business and I checked on the bunny rabbits. Fortunately the rain had eased so the old girl (not me-haha) was okay going out to ablute.

My inner clock is all very mixed up and today felt like Friday for me. It doesn't help that my watch is still on UK time and that is after syncing it up to the GPS. I'll sort it out tomorrow while I'm at the hairdresser... hooray! She might have to work overtime to tame my mane but she's up to the challenge.

It still feels a little surreal my being back in Johannesburg. I have been 'hermitting' at my sister's place recuperating from my bug and not really going into the world. I stopped by at a supermarket on route to my now 'current' sister and everything looked a little unfamiliar. The shops are certainly not dressed up like the UK for the festive season but it might be different in a bigger mall.

Tomorrow I start engaging with the city again but in the meantime I have 'Molly' trying her hardest to be in my face. I must admit that I do enjoy it when other people's pets recognise me. The reunion was excitable and after she couldn't find her ball she was pointing her nose to the leash.

Tomorrow, Molly, tomorrow...
