Time for a paws

It was one of those strange days, where I could feel my health barometer had dropped. On waking, it felt like it was going to rain. Sadly only a few drops fell but it did leave behind the great smell of petrichor.

But after doing my usual early Tuesday morning podcast, I knew that something was amiss. I felt those initial fluey feelings of temperature changes and hot eyeballs.

A day to rest and it was perfect timing. No outside appointments, no big speech to prepare and all the lightning bolt ideas could wait and incubate for some more time.

I ordered more medlemon from Checkers 60/60 and of course the mandatory cake. If today was going to be my last day on the planet, there had to be cake.

That's my new philosophy.

The animals neared and even the cat graced me with her purring energy to aid my recovery.

After chatting to Nic in Japan who seems to be seeing the inside of many medical establishments, I snoozed for a while, ignoring the increasing volume of the unsorted boxes in the cupboards.

The sun came out and began to toast the dry ground which made my room rather warm, so I migrated to the cooler couch complete with Jack Russell accessory.

I'm already feeling loads better, with all this animal lurve.
