T minus 6

Which means six days till I set sail.

Although not in a boat, but in my tiny car.

I woke up feeling thick headed from my antihistamine and was just settling in to round two morning snooze when I heard the dustbin truck. I raced out to get it sorted and on my return realised that I was still feeling light headed. It is that strange stage when I feel 100% well when sitting but exertion reminds me to take a chill pill.

(I don't have any of those).

Plus, I read that it is international dog day and Molly was her usual charming self, so it was good to just spend time in her energy.

I have been avoiding sorting out my numerous 'temporary' piles and boxes and unfortunately I haven't found an appropriate packing solution which could contain my chaos into some sense of order. So I approached my streamlining project slowly with a mantra 'one box at a time'. It truly helped. My winter woolies will be needed this coming weekend so ignored packing them away and focused on my electrical stuff. I am a bit of gadgety gal and I realised that I could streamline the back up to the back up plan of electric extension cables. One only sis! On the plus side, I found a 'missing' cable for my hard drive, and after laughing at a quote of R150- for a replacement, my laugh was justified.
