Sweet Tuesday

Tuesday 14th June 2022 Today we went into the town center again and took a nice walk around a church on route to Angie's favourite coffee shop, Wetherspoons. I was silently marveling at how clean the streets look when my sister remarked on how much litter there was. I laughed and then they pointed out some rubbish. I was still impressed.  Keeping a city clean is hard work.

The church is a lovely building which I visited properly on a previous holiday so I just gazed at while drinking my coffee.  I even forgot to take a picture of my view, imagine that, lol! The Christ Church was designed by architect Edward Buckton Lamb, opened in 1854 and closed in 1973. The building, which has a 100 foot tall tower, was refurbished as an Art Gallery in 1996. Today we looked at it from ground level only. We were on our way to visit my niece who supplied me with lovely cake. The novelty of eating all this unfamiliar yet sweet food will eventually wear off, but for now my eyes are overestimating the size of my stomach and it's all very yummy.  'Sweet' dreams!
