Sweet Saturday

Saturday 17th September 2022

I slept really well last night and only woke once with a very gingerly walk to the bathroom while testing my toe. The ibuprofen I took seemed to help plus I had lekker dreams of SA singer Arno Carstens, and I think I woke myself up singing the wrong lyrics. My toe is still rather purple but I didn't notice much pain today and managed to keep it up most of the day.

My handsome nephew entertained me today by driving me round to his lovely house for the 'tour'. It was so good seeing him all grown up and independent and he's so easy to talk to. His late mum would be so proud of him and I felt super honoured to spend time with him on a one to one basis.

My brother and his wife have gone away for a few nights so I was left steering the TV console. It proved rather tricky at first and I had to resort to some manual button pushing. I watched a few episodes of a show then got restless so I came up to bed instead.  Big Saturday night party in progress,  hahaha.  💤💤
