Sushi Saturday

Updated: Feb 4

Saturday 3rd February 2024

I woke up still feeling like I was on a high after Joey Evans' talk and naturally I didn't have any excuse not to go for my run on the treadmill. After the animal breakfast run was over, Harley, the lab, decided he wanted to keep me company in the gym again. The view is still breathtaking, although the first kilometer on the treadmill takes a lot of heavy breathing too, lol. I looked over at the far ridge and realised that I've yet to climb that route. But I need company for that so will round up someone next weekend.

I got my Smartie back too, although it is without a rear bumper at the moment but very pleased to say that Nic got it working again and all the electrics seem to be behaving. It felt a bit strange to me, to be out on the roads again, but it didn't take long for my road rage to appear, haha. The life of a passive aggressive - it comes out of my system while driving. Admittedly it's probably more growling at slow coaches while stationary, the other car is oblivious to my steam outlet

I stopped at the nearby, revamped shops and ended up visiting Dischem and Woolworths. The center is hugely improved and still small enough to not intimidate. I picked up some sushi for lunch which is a nice light option when the weather is so hot.

The rest of the day had me watching some series, 'watering' the dogs and listening to them snoring in between. An easy Saturday afternoon.
