Sunsets and Sundays

Sunday 4th September 2022

I've been in Hartlepool, North East England, for a month today. In many ways it feels longer than that. The day excursions have been fabulous and the weather has been kind to me. My sister's cooking had been great and I'm going to miss the comings and goings of so many different family members.  Two sisters, two nieces, two great nephews,  2 brothers in law, one nephew in law, and two dogs make it all very busy and interesting.

I've loved seeing how people run their daily lives, although it has been school holidays most of the time. But I've always enjoyed seeing the 'real' life of people and not just a quick visit.

Tomorrow I set sail or should I say, rail up to Scotland to catch up with a lot of my clan that I never got to see earlier in my trip so I had to pack my rucksack again today. I managed to free up some space by leaving summer clothing here as I still haven't quite mastered the packing minimally just yet.  Although it's not the clothes that trouble me, it's the sundries.  Plugs, cables, vitamins, medicines and things I might need make most of the weight in my bag and that's what I struggle to minimise. I'm getting better though, so in two months time I might have it right.

I was treated to a lovely final sunset while playing a game of tug with Meg.
