Monday 18th April 2022 The sun came out and the world looked washed clean.

I even went out for a run and crossed the eerily quiet main road into a different section of the suburb.  I passed the police station that I'd driven by on many occasions and suddenly noticed a tiny cemetery.  After checking out of my lovely bnb I went a filmed a short video (which you can watch here).

I returned to my own area and had a joyous return with Molly, my furry 'niece'. We went for a short walk around the block because Molly has put on some weight since I last stayed with her and was out of breath. But it didn't stop her from squealing at the neighbours dogs. The Autumn season has definitely taken hold as the air is a lot chillier than before the wet long weekend.

One month today, I will be heading to the UK and I have a lot of things to sort out. It still feels far away but I know the time will gallop along. I'm quite glad at the idea of missing the Highveld winter although a warm summer isn't guaranteed, lol
