One month till my birthday! Hahaha.

I'm already receiving presents. Today the gift was glorious sunshine and I was down to bare arms in my t-shirt. Little sister grinned all day at the weather- not quite believing it. I suppose 16 hours sitting in a Heathrow departure lounge made her very grateful for her 'freedom'. My brother had recovered enough to come and drive us around in search of last minute items needed for the race.

We popped into outdoor shops and the mall and a quick stop at the supermarket. My late sister’s son then popped round to my brother's to join us for dinner and it was great to see him.

He's a lovely lad who is a 'motorhead' and changes cars regularly. Tonight he took us for a spin in his beautiful blue car. The sun was setting and the view over the valley was beautiful. I could almost hear his mum's voice mumbling at him to 'slow down'. I loved it.

The joy of coming from a big family is seeing all these different human beings with a trace of similar characteristics making their way in the world. I'm enjoying these 'gifts' and being in the country where it all 'started' somehow feels almost sacred.
