Sunny days

Tuesday 29th March 2022 I woke up in a better mood this morning.  I could feel it was going to be a good day. I was meeting my friend for breakfast so I had to pack my car before check out. It took me about 30 minutes to do it all. I was too early lol!

I got to the main street in Parkview with the early morning light tickling the buildings.  As I parked up I saw a church that I had somehow missed on previous visits to the area.  I strolled over and took the obligatory photos and greeted the pavement sweepers and smiled at the coffee shop owners setting up shop. I realised that I enjoyed this bustle,  I haven't really lived in any city and have had quite limited European travels, but I felt like I had been transported to a different country.  It felt magical.

After a great chat in person over breakfast I nipped over to the library and settled down with some early Johannesburg books to absorb some details for our upcoming tour. I was whiling away time until I could check in to my next bnb when another friend joined me for an in-person coffee.  Feeling happy, I drove to my next overnight stop which is just how I like it. Modern,  neat, private with a bit of a view because I am upstairs.  Swallows, sparrows, runners, dogs and some European bee eaters filled the sky with the happy sounds to support my mood.

I am enjoying experiencing this part that I visited many times (but never stayed overnight) and the sunset was subtle but stunning.
