I woke up and I immediately knew the cloud had shifted. I got ready for a run and took Molly for a warm up lap. Unfortunately both she and I have gained a lot of extra voluptuous layers while I was abroad- broad? Maybe I should rethink that terminology, lol. I dropped her off and continued my 4km without her, reflecting on my dud day yesterday, Henry and Megan and life in general.
I moved to my next house sit and the dogs seemed very happy to see me. After unpacking and settling down I climbed into the rather warm swimming pool. Now that school holidays have ended, summer has resumed with a vengeance. The pool temperature was 29°C so fortunately there was a breeze which cooled me down.
A little after 4pm the TV switched off. I was confused and I realised that it was loadshedding. I had a slight chuckle because I haven't experienced it since last year due to solar power systems. I must admit it is easier to experience when it's not cold nor dark and I don't have to drive in peak traffic without traffic lights. Speaking of cars, I haven't heard anything as yet about my car, I think my mechanic is getting back into his work mode.
Right now I'm surrounded by the two larger dogs who have definitely calmed down since the last time I watched them 4 years ago. The youngest one, the Jack Russell had gone to the bed already and I'm close to following him.
