Suburban Saturday

Saturday 6th May 2023

I woke up late with Josh Groban trying to 'raise me up' in my head. I was surprised when I realised the time and that I hadn't heard my sister leave early for her run. My appointment was only in the afternoon so I lolled around in bed looking at random things like laptops and train tickets. I realised that I was wasting time so I ended up in the garden pulling weeds and playing ball with Molly.

As the temperatures rose, my sister and I decided to head for a brunch before our respective events but we realised that loadshedding was fast approaching so a sudden rush to shower sped the day up.

I visited old neighbours who I'd last seen on my early days of nomadic life.  They had moved to a different province as the time and I spent a night with them on my return trip from the coast.  They've returned inland now and are in a lovely estate fairly close to me now so we had a lovely afternoon of catch-up and coffee.

I'd forgotten about the Kings coronation and I even forgot to take photos of us, so the conversation must have been deep,  haha.

It still feels strange thinking I'm leaving in a few days and I haven't sorted out all my things yet. I did get some vitamins from Dischem though so I am sort of trying to keep on top of my lists,  haha.  The power went off again and Molly decided to try get up close and personal for my photos so I can have something for my blog.
