Suburban Bay

Monday 9th October 2023

The morning broke with some sunshine squeezing through the clouds. My throat felt a lot better so decided to get out for a walk while the weather was favourable. I stopped by at my uncle to see if he needed anything from the shop. He still likes his newspaper but I wasn't sure which one.

I set off admiring all the different styles of houses and I still have to control my urge to look into every living room window. There's no big walls to block the view and it's interesting to see that nobody seems to use their garages for their cars, but as store rooms.

On the way back from the shop I admired the stone walls that edge some properties. I then caught a look of an arty object high up in a tree so I had to see what it was. It had a very unusual sign about stopping and looking and wrote that it wasn't in public domain. But I had an internal argument, because it's visible from the street and it's high up so that means it in public view, surely? I defied the sign and had to take some pictures, naturally.

The road back let me admire the bridge again in it's full visible glory. The mist from yesterday was all gone. There was even a couple of brave souls taking a swim in the bay. The cats are warming to me too, I even had an exposed belly for a moment before their breakfast. But I know better than to try tickle a cat's belly, so I just took a photo instead.
