Saturday 8th October 2022

I woke up to a bright sunny morning that I'd promised myself to stay sleeping to. I'd waken again at 3am and went over my travel plans for the next while even though I thought I'd avoided awake thoughts. But I'm beginning to realise that I can actually cope with an unplanned brainstorm keeping me awake so I took time getting up knowing that my bus was only later.

The train worker's strike affected many passengers but there were plenty of large buses helping out.  My bus was almost 40 minutes late and the punctuality in me wanted to cry with mock-horror. But this is my reason for booking a hotel where I'd left my backpack while I holidayed in Italy.  So I just relaxed and listened to all the different cultures in a very busy bus station.

Now my  internet signal is off in the room so I came down to the restaurant area to get the free wifi. It's like a party down here, but then I suspect most of these patrons are going on holiday in the middle of the night. I forget that people do social things on a Saturday night. But I've had my fill for tonight.
