My legs creaked. More than usual, I mean. I could feel those pedal pushing muscles swearing at me because they'd been wakened from their slumber. But overall I think I managed my expectations fairly well. I stared at the bike on waking wondering if I should go out for a spin. But common sense prevailed snd I realised I was doing some avoidance.
I know my procrastination traits well by now and today I even know why I was doing it. I needed to plan my script for my Tour on Saturday and it feels formal. I prefer casual, you might have guessed by now. But presenting a tour does need less casual and some structure. So eventually, after I'd done dome cleaning I sat down at my make shift study and it went surprisingly smooth. I've written the notes, paid attention to the timings and realised that I was still short of one video that I knew I'd recorded. After a quick edit I sent it off to be included in the presentation. At the last moment my reading glasses broke.
Feeling rather accomplished after my work, I set out to get myself another pair of cheap readers. I usually have a back-up pair but I'd left them upcountry. I couldn't find a pair of glasses in the strength I need other than in sunglasses. I reluctantly bought them as I never wear shades preferring to let my eyes adjust to the light.
The glasses mean that I need neon light at night so I can read my phone. Which I ended up doing while out with my lovely niece and her boys who are on a quick concert visit.
We hopped on a train over to the power station and the riverside walk was stunning with the sunshine. Unfortunately there aren't any reasonably priced food places there so we found ourselves eating rather yummy Macdonalds in Charing Cross.
A constructive, shady day for me, full of family love.
