Snoozy Sundays

Last night, I watched a travel series on Netflix. The hosts were young and glamorous and were traveling with a production team and a budget to exotic places that I have never considered going to. Bali, Alaska, and a snake house in Mexico. When I find myself pausing a program in order to Google a location, then I know my attention has been pricked. This resulted in wonderful dreams of travel which leaves me snuggling in bed trying to hang on to the tethers of dreams on a rather pleasant Sunday morning.

There are so many tasks to do today, pleasant tasks, so it's not that I dread doing them. Sometimes it's just a feeling of needing to hide in bed for longer, a feeling of not being quite done with my dreams and not yet ready for the day. I've tried negotiating with the sun before, haggled with the clock to put an extra pause between the next tick, but to no avail. The limbo days go at the same pace as exciting days yet my pause is as important as the speed. I have come to respect and appreciate the times that my body has told me to 'wait a moment..'

The bed cocoon gets cracked when I remember to switch the hot water geyser on and I swear the tasks jumped on me along my passageway. Suddenly an idea for a skit, a reminder of kitchen chores, and the packing tape stares at me from a desk.. time to start my day.

But first, my blog.
