Slow down

Having my friend here on his holiday timeshare, has prolonged my feeling that it still holiday for me. Meeting at the windy promenade early again for our walk, had me wear my long sleeved clothing on and fortunately it didn't rain. A group of around 50 people meet in one of the public spaces for their exercise class and I am amazed at how organized the trainers are. Sound systems belt out the rhythm as we walk by. On our return stretch we were walking into the wind and I was surprised by how chilly a direction can feel. But a hearty breakfast helped warm me up and launched the morning into a good start.

We record a weekly running podcast that, for the last 18 months has been hosted online from opposite sides of Johannesburg. This morning we found ourselves in a make shift sound booth of my car, shielded from the wind while facing the sea. It was strange doing it in person, which was the original way we started and we had a good chuckle at the uniqueness of our situation.

I think all the wind must have tired me out because around lunchtime I was about to go on search of a museum and my body just said 'no'. So I listened and lay on my bed, while catching up with some Netflix. I think my adrenaline rush moves like the wind- in gusts. Let's see what the wind brings in tomorrow.
