I was very pleased to be able to sleep late this morning although I woke up around 7 after dreams of meeting a hairdresser. I think my subconscious is telling me I need my hair done, but it will have to wait another week at least.
I did my second day of walking round the golf course behind the same golfer from yesterday who the public called Rambo, and another American golfer who was a chatty type. As a sounding, I love this type because it makes my life feel more than just a round of whacks, putts and rattling golf clubs in a bag. The chit chat was clear on my headphones and I relaxed into the game.
It was a scorcher of a day, but I still mistrust this Scottish sunshine so I sweated my way through 18 holes with three layers of sleeves on. Fortunately the sun block I got my hands on did a better job than yesterday's 'borrowed lotion'. And my face had far less sizzle than yesterday.
Our golfers finished early in the afternoon whichI was very grateful for and a colleague was able to drop me at my hotel before the bulk of the crew had finished their time on telly..
The world had disappeared down the TV rabbit hole again although I did consciously smile at the view on the picturesque 13th hole. It is an all consuming world and I think that was one of the reasons why I stopped working in it all those years ago. But now, I have social media....which helps.
I did take a couple of very quick pictures while trying to find a Boots pharmacy this morning. Leith looks interesting.
