Siblings spaces

Monday 29th January 2024

One of the great things about spending so much time in different siblings homes, is that I really get to see how they live their adult life. When we all lived in our childhood home, we were too busy learning how to tolerate one another and how to manage our individual spaces in a tiny home filled with 9 humans. I never had my own bedroom until I left for nursing residence after I finished school. Sharing rooms taught us how to respect another's space as well as how to annoy the hell out of the other.

In this adult capacity, my observations are keeping me on my toes. This time I don't want to annoy them because I have the convenience of their hospitality. I'm far more respectful of their homes and trying to keep it as exactly as they like it. I was blessed with 4 super neat sisters, I was once, extremely tidy but now I'm not. So I am very conscious of being as they need me to be in their space.

Being in this sister's home is teaching me so much about abundance, luxury and comfort. It is fascinating for me, from the psychological perspective to see how different we all are having come from the same genes and circumstances. I'm also realising that I can change my mindset and viewpoint about things now too. The habits of old personality aspects can be changed should I choose. Lying in this comfy bed, after the animals are tucked in for the night, I'm looking out at the twinkling lights down in the valley and really appreciating the space.

What a gift, to have so many siblings and now the adult opportunity to get to share their lives for a while.
