Shops and jobs

Monday 31st July 2023

Today I went to the small shopping centre while my sister went to yoga. The weather was dull so it was a good time to go and look for some bits and pieces. The shops weren't too busy being fairly early on a Monday morning and I got my things quickly and easily.

Although the exchange rate is ZAR24 to £1, I seem to be able to get a lot more items for my money here. I do shop in the cheaper shops but I was still surprised that I got so many items for £24-   I also had a 'feel day' with all the new winter fabrics home products that are on the shelves, I have to stroke the fake fur.

When I was sitting on a shop bench after my 'mission accomplished' I got a response with regards to my job interview.  They didn't offer me the permanent position but did offer to connect me with a temp agency that they use, which I took as not quite a complete no. I think they sensed that I'm not fully settled in Scotland,  even though I told them the opposite.  I think my energy didn't match the fib. I'm quite proud of myself for this whole process and it's taught me so many things about myself so the JW experience truly was a great experience. It might not be finished quite yet...
