Settled and snoozing

26th December 2022

Today was a lazy day for most of us, I'm sure and I had a great snooze.  I'd slept well too, last night which I was surprised by because of my Christmas naps yesterday.  It seems like the flurry of excitement of the year has slowed down and I can just lounge it out on Paws. Haha.

Rusty was waiting outside my bedroom door at 5am and I felt a bit more comfortable  running than yesterday morning.  The air was chilly and at times I'd wondered if I should have worn long sleeves which I didn't bring with me - running long sleeves that is.

The run round the estate was pleasant and the grass was wet indicating a shower in the night. I took a different route at a junction and ended up facing the flowing stream so had to backtrack a bit. Watching the dog at junctions is interesting because he gets to the point then looks back at me, I point and he goes. Most of our communication is silent which I love. He's such a calm dog and I think it's because of his daily exercise, as his 'dog' needs are met.

I caught up with some overseas family and the cats came near for a short time. The afternoon shower cut our park walk short and then the sun blasted through with a gentle rainbow just to remind me of beautiful things.  Not that I need much reminding, I live on a beautiful blue rock.
