I lived in my previous house for 30 years so I haven't really personally moved much. But I have helped on many moves.
One part of me is curious about how I am going to handle those very necessary introvert weekends where the only marathon is a Netflix one, and even then, Netflix asks me if I am still watching. But there's a part of me that is really comfortable with listening to my body, so if I am paying for an Air bnb I will just have to accept that the outside world needs to wait for the introvert to recharge.
I've lived in my current home for 27 months and I love the space. Much like I loved my 30 year home. However I am excited at the prospect of new beds, new light and different sunsets. When I walked the 800km Camino Frances in Spain in 2016, every night was a different town. It was excellent practice in getting my body comfortable with the unfamiliar. Although I am hoping to not need to stay in bunk beds and hostels with a tiny shared bathroom on this next adventure, there may be a couple of times where the experience dictates something different.
Today was a busy day of packing but I also had a lovely walk in the dog park which has a clear view of the cityscapes. The dry grass made me appreciate the 'golden' hues and imagine a world almost 200 years ago with the natural Bush.
Isn't our world a magnificent place?
