Seaside haircut

It's been said that women often change their hairstyle dramatically during an emotional crisis. It's hinted that perhaps it's a way of gaining some control of an aspect of life. I am not necessarily in crisis mode, but of course there's big changes. I dragged out my 'between salon' stage this time because I was timing it to just before my trip to the coast. But I could hold on no longer, so off to Melissa's I went.

On my holiday when I came to the decision of making this dramatic change, I saw just how curly my hair can go and I wondered what would be the easiest way to handle my hair without much fuss. Plus I have been through most colours and styles due to my wigs in my skits. So I told her to make the change. She suggested the colours, which was darker than expected but I am game for anything. She asked me several times while armed with her scissors if I was sure, because it had grown quite long. I nodded and grinned through my mask.

'Right, let's do this'

My selfie doesn't do it justice but I am smiling at myself in the mirror more. Plus when your hair stylist says

'That was fun' then you know it's a real makeover...

Taking control, one hair at a time ( hahahaha)
