Saturday social

Today was one of those perfect days. I slept well finally understanding how I like my bed and pillows - just like my ones at this bnb. I can't really describe them other than -familiar. I woke up with my usual questions and after feeling happy that I wasn't moving accommodations nor driving anywhere, I debated a run. Needless to say I stayed in my comfy bed instead.

I started feeling a little guilty that I wasn't out exploring so eventually thought I would go and look for lunch via the bookstore again, this time taking photos. While sitting unordered at a restaurant I got a message that my credit card payment for my 'digs' had been rejected and I went into a panic. This was exaggerated when I realised that I didn't have my credit card on me. Rushing back to my room I found them lying on the chair so I decided to try sort out my admin a bit instead of going back for lunch.

I was invited to dinner with my lovely new friends and I was amazed at how beautiful everything is, complete with show off horse rider repeatedly riding past. The sunset didn't disappoint either and I had a great supper of bobotie with lovely company.

There was a band in town and were playing at 'Boeties Pub' so we stopped by there for a drink and a listen. Most of the local residents showed up complete with socialised dogs. The drinking had started earlier so it was quite animated by the time we got there. The two man band was great but I faded early. I've loved my three nights in Nieu Bethesda and it has been great being included in the locals' socialising. I'm going to miss them.

I'm aiming to attend the church service at 9am tomorrow which will be interesting and then I'm heading for Colesburg.
