The glorious weather continues and fortunately for us today because we had lunch outside. My sister who is closest to me in age turns 60 on Tuesday.
60.
I have moments of thinking how did we get here? All my older siblings are in their sixties. Yikes. But then again we're older than my mum was when she died which is a sobering thought but one that also makes me appreciate every day.
Back to the birthday lunch. It was at a country venue and and a lovely setting under a thorn tree surrounded by many families all out enjoying the glorious day. We were surprised by how busy it was, but judging by how many happy birthdays were sung, the busyness made sense.
We had a tasty lunch and then I drove my sister's car back which reminded me of my blue beauty from last year. It was nice and smooth and easy to handle.
I got back to my housesitting to the last few hours of the second phase of loadshedding. I've been watching a documentary on Elon Musk and it's fascinating. I'm hoping it finishes in time before my third black out scheduled for 10pm. Genius mind and erratic behaviour but the world needs eccentrics and disruptors. We might need a genius or two to sort out our electricity problems.
