Satisfied 17th June 2023
Today was a blind 'date' day. My lovely new friend who I met in Nieu Bethesda last year hooked me up with one of her friends who is visiting Glasgow for work purposes. A quick tour of the city, I thought. But it ended up being long conversations on a long walk over to an art gallery and the West End of the city. I love it when I meet someone who I can chat with for hours.
I changed buses on route to the city and Paisley town was having a car fair of sorts. It was great to see the bustling side of the rather quiet weekday center. My next bus took a lot longer than I'd expected and almost never got to the station on time. However I got mixed up with stations, so I raced back through throngs of people all out and about in the streets.
Plenty of buskers, and marquees, preacher men, cellphone sales people, people dressed for weddings, football and sadly many homeless people on the pavements.
We got caught in a light shower as we came out of the art gallery and I finally used my new pink raincoat! After trying to look at the university halls, we realised that it was nearing closing time, so we walked all the way back to the city centre. It still as busy but by now a lot of alcohol had been consumed so there was some dodging the staggering.
A lovely day of cooler weather and spending time with a new friend.
