Runs and boundaries

Wednesday 22 February 2023

This morning I joined a special group of people for my run and it was great.  Plus there was birthday cake afterwards,  I got my timing right, haha.  I then had my eye test done for my 5 year renewal of my driver's license and I passed with 'flying colours'. I had a good laugh when after swapping eyes she said let me just shuffle the letters. I said I had much less chance of remembering the order than seeing the letters.

The rest of the day was spent watching walls get torn down and rebuilt again. The garden walls of my townhouse that I'm renting out, were in a bad way.  The insurance approved the repairs so today much shuffling of plants and soil took place. Apparently the builder just pushed on a part of the bounday wall and it fell over, after all the heavy rain, it was probably made worse.

Setting up new boundaries and letting go of the old can be tough metaphorically.  So I took this as a good sign of the rot, damp and crumbling old belief systems making way for the strong reinforced structures in my life.

There's also an analogy of roots embedded there too and that, when necessary, they can be cut and redirected too.

I started creating ads for my personal tours that I'm looking at doing and decided that I need to have a place where I can be found so of course, I turn to Facebook and a new 'page'. So I'm busy creating that, but I need to clean up a lot of other pages that I no longer use. Unfortunately my phone isn't giving me access to a lot of the settings so tomorrow I'll try on my tablet.

In the meantime I did another 5km tonight and I was surprised by how good it felt,  hopefully it doesn't all rush at me tomorrow haha.  Molly was very pleased that I came to bed before the 8pm loadshedding kicked in. She pulled a cute face when I sang a little song, so of course I took a picture.

Back to the Pink Floyd location tomorrow... another brick in the wall, haha.
