Road trippin...

Have I mentioned that I am not a fan of

driving? I know, I know. I'm on a road trip. Hence the reason for breaking my drive to Durban up into 2 hourly drives.

The bonus of this plan is that I get to explore different places without any serious time constraints.

Often, my sister and I would go to small towns out of our province to run marathons but due to most events being canceled the dorpie visits stopped. I didn't realise that I had missed the long stretches of beige fields. The fun of seeing different things, like the pregnant bokkies waiting with the same anticipation of the thirsty land for the first decent rains. Of course I needed to slow down for potholes, chickens and wandering cows, but I laughed out loud when I saw a big fat pig jog across the tar.

I could really write a much longer post, but I will keep that for my books. Suffice to say my accommodation tonight is wonderful and I did a live video here, with a tour of my room if you are interested in seeing more detail.
