Rest day

A week of seaside living. It still feels like I am holiday though, probably because my school friend was here. But I am driving less with my Google maps, which is a good thing.

I woke up feeling tired, so decided to not rush anywhere for anything and have a late run then try out a small coffee shop on the beachfront.

My timing was perfect too because there had been a ladies race take place and I saw them striking the barriers down which meant the large crowds had dispersed.

The wind was less than yesterday but the waves were still quite strong and it was fascinating watching the strong water from the Umgeni river meet the waves and the currents looked fierce in the river mouth.

I had a lovely ice coffee and a cheap breakfast while sharing a wooden table with strangers.

All these unusual things that I am doing without anxiety, I am really enjoying the new aspects. The Durbanites are really friendly when dealing with them, but oddly enough I do miss the friendly hellos from the Johannesburg runners.

Nevertheless I still enjoy the view.
