Re Search

Today was one of those intense days of researching, editing videos and learning about women of the past. I'm really, really glad that I was born in the 60's. I have the modern world now, yet can appreciate it more, remembering my life sans telephone, hifi, tv, automatic washing machine and private car, plus the dangerous microwave oven!

History repeats itself, so it's said. But at least the mod cons improve while the human lesson repeats. I was trying to find videos of the women in my project and they are very scarce. Part of me wondered why and the other part remembered that TV wasn't in South Africa until 1976 and the personal video recorder was only in the late eighties.

I have moments of appreciation of current technology with instant messaging/calling/videoing and super fast email as apposed to dial-up lines. Devices that I can edit my own little programs together easily and quickly and then 'send' them off to a friend. Remarkable.

They say gratitude is good for the soul, I am truly grateful for modern technology. My World Tour can be shared instantly with you and possibly strangers ( or future friends).

I love it.
