Rain on the Golden mile

Waking up to light drizzle was strange. Having lived inland all my years, I'm used to winters of 3 months of dry, dusty weather. But living in different parts of the country means experiencing the different weather patterns. My morning promenade run was touch and go, but as it got lighter, I realised that it wasn't a great idea to go run in the cool rain.

I could have completed my admin stories from yesterday but suddenly getting to a hairdresser became a priority. I googled the area, read the reviews and set out on my 7 minute drive. (Everything feels nearby in Durban).

I have had a fabulous hairdresser for the last six years and I had forgotten how vulnerable I feel sitting in a new salon chair. I hate getting my head touched, and the hair washing is a punishing ordeal. The chair today was too short for my long body and I just squirmed. However, the stylist was great and it didn't cost me much more than my Jhb stylist although she literally just coloured my roots.

It's still raining so my smooth hairstyle has already started becoming one with the sea... all wavy. But that isn't a complaint merely an observation.
