Practical Monday

Updated: Dec 13, 2022

Monday 12th December 2022

I had a very constructive day although I didn't start off with a run. I was surprised that I was disappointed by the heavy rain which stopped my run. It was rather heavy rain and cold so I decided to wait until the afternoon so I started getting myself ready to start doing all my admin stuff.

I needed photocopies,  certification of documents and forms printed. So I headed out to the shops but realised that loadshedding was affecting businesses so I ended up in a different area to get some of the things sorted.

I had my Bowen therapy appointment late morning and I was pleased to see my old work space again. The building is an interesting one and has a high turnover of office space, lockdown also affected small businesses so there were many new tenant names on the info board. Sean's new office space is smaller than the one we shared but it has a nice feel to it and he's doing well. I forgot how painful his gentle work can be particularly around my skull but it's very effective and we always end up having the widest type of conversations.

After an intense treatment I set off to the bank and my last few errands.  The rain continued so I was careful to dodge all puddles in my car mindful of possible huge craters underneath the wet roads. When I got back, Molly was very excited so I decided to don my wellington boots and take her for a walk in the rain. It was fun to purposely step into the puddles this time and I loved the feeling of staying completely dry for a change.  Molly tried to bark at all the neighbours but they were all hiding inside. The rain eased slightly at the end of the walk but it seems like there's more rain predicted for the week.
