I still haven't sorted out my technical storage issue for my blog so there won't be any photos in this update. It's a real pity though because my past few weeks in the Cape have been oh-so-pretty. With sea, mountain, penguins, steampunk, theatre, bush, and kitesurfers, it certainly weaved it natural beauty magic over me.
But I'm also very aware of being in the mother city at the best weather time. We had a couple of breezes but not the strong South-easter that is famous for blowing pedestrians over. I had a light rain shower on me on one early morning run which was strange because they have winter rainfall. When I asked the concierge about it he laughed and said 'it's Cape Town'.
I'm now back in Johannesburg and feeling the effects of an intense heat wave. Again rather unusual for this time of the year but as long as I can sleep with a fan on me, I'm okay.
Being halfway through March and a whole month of 'non-blog' I realised that I have missed taking stock of my day and counting my blessings before I go to sleep.
There's a book called the 'Artist's Way' which I read years back about writing practices and it recommends daily writing of 3 full pages. It helps get the practice and fine tunes the writer's voice. One month later, I feel out of practice.
I have a weekend ahead of animal care so I might get a solution to my blog storage issue, however I'm not promising anything haha. Happy Friday and if you don't hear from me on the 17th, Happy st Patrick's day!
