Plentyberg bay

I woke up to find the full moon shining down on me. I swear that I almost felt hot from the moonbeams. I stayed awake and watched the world lighten and felt really grateful to be in such a special place. My friend had planned to take me to the other best view points and she didn't disappoint.
The first point was up near the older part of Plettenberg Bay, close to the Police station and Post office. The view was magnificent and the royal blue sky just exaggerated the wide bay. We weren't sure if we could see pods of dolphins in the distance with the sunrays glimmering on the ocean. I am saying that there were dolphins.
We popped in at Old Nick's for scones which sadly were sold out so we coffeed and then wandered around the various cute buildings and the stunning mill. It was incredibly noisy but interesting.
We turned uphill and ended up at the Sky Villa Boutique Hotel. It lives up to it's name and truly feels like it's up in the sky. There are lovely art pieces dotted around the grounds but the views somehow overshadow the art. We walked around admiring everything and even managed a peek into the open bedrooms. On my next visit, I hope to spend a night here too and feel like I am on top of the world when I wake up. Okay I'm on top of the world emotionally right now, but perhaps physically...
Plettenberg bay has been a wonderful surprise with my last (work) visit being here sometime in the 90's. I'm really so grateful for my friend inviting me here and showing me her lovely town.
