Plan B

Who am I kidding? I hardly had a real plan. I like 'loose plans' now, I used to be scared of them but with the uncertainty of the 21st century, I have learned to weather the storms ( almost- not quite mastered snow).

Needless to say that I had one definite plan which launched the next one.

  1. Move out of my house by July end

  2. Rent an Airbnb at the KZN coast.

Now I still have the certainty of plan 1. I know for sure that it's the right one because I am excited and not nervous about moving. For someone who stayed put in one house for 30 years and refused to even move furniture with much consideration it's almost strange to be excited about moving.

I chatted to a long time colleague and friend who is also contemplating big life changes and she's not long in the 'fifties' club. I think it is a place where uncertainty is not as dreaded as when I was young. Perhaps the concept of 'settle' is a misnomer when the world we live in is always in a state of motion. I know I am far more comfortable with the unknown now.

Deep tonight, haha!
