After yesterday's 4am alarm going off, I was careful to switch off all alarms. But at 5am I woke dreaming that mine was going off again-which it wasn't.
But the dream was a bit prophetic because at 6.12am the fire alarm went off. My word it's loud! After shaking my phone thinking it was the damn clock, I realised what was happening and I jumped into my warm clothes. I thankfully remembered to grab my jacket and I met up with Angie in the carpark who was the only soul in her pj's and barefoot. Roll call was taken as the alarm continued until the Fire Brigade arrived. An overheating hairdryer apparently roused everyone out of their slumber.
With all the early excitement, the day calmed down into a productive one. I even managed to find my way out of the golf course pathways on my buggy. I also managed to take some photos of Ernie Els on his round of golf. It's fascinating how life has taken me one huge circle of about 33 years from when young Ernie turned professional and I was filming him on the fairways of the Sunshine Circuit in 1989 to the cold, beautiful Gleneagles fairways with him on the Seniors Tour. He's had 74 professional wins since then. I've been a few places and own a few medals(albeit running medals, every one a win, lol)
Tonight, Hayley, the lady responsible for this work and circle completion, joined us for dinner and we had a lovely catch up of steak rolls in Scotland. Who woulda thought?
